Things are Changing
Things are changing here in the islands. We have seen electricity costs steadily increase from 18 cents a Kilowatt hour to now this month 38 cents an hour. What a jump! Rice was eight dollars for a twenty pound bag, now its sixteen dollars a bag. When we first came gas was $3.25 a gallon now it is $6.25 and going up again this week. Now we are praying and believing for alternate power sources. Wind and solar for electricity and coconut oil for fuel.
Pictured above is the white van. It runs on gas, and as you know that is now $6.25 a gallon. Coconut oil mix is at $4.00 a gallon. This van has served so faithfully here in the islands. It has carried students and disciples all over Majuro. It has participated in outreaches and different ministries but she is wearing out. Parts here are scarce and rust has taken its toll. It is now time to believe God for a new van. So join with us in prayer for a new diesel van to continue the work here in the islands.
With a diesel van we can run coconut fuel and cut our operating expenses by $2.00 a gallon. We are also looking into alternate means of transportation. I will write more on that later. Please keep this in your prayers and if you would like to help us out on this please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Be blessed and may you prosper even as your soul prospers!
