Seawall is Progressing

God is so good. Here are a couple of pictures of the seawall in progress. Somebody is saying right now, “I have been wondering about that”! Well here in the Marshall Islands everything comes in by ship. Cement, rebar and even tie wire. The only thing that is not shipped in is gravel and sand. That has to be made here on island and there is only one company that does it. So they have to make the sand, then gravel and then they have to make the bricks. By the way just for your information a truck load of sand or gravel, twelve cubic yards is $695.00 a load!
Well praise the Lord the bricks were delivered and last week we started building the wall. All of our workers are Christians, a mixture of Marshallese, Kosraen and Fijian brothers in the Lord. It is so awesome that we can provide them with jobs to help us complete this project. When working on a sea wall we have to work with the tide as it comes in and out. While the tide is out, footers have to be dug, rebar placed in the coral and blocks laid. It is a constant moving process when the time is right.
Please continue to keep this project in prayer. We want to thank Missionary Ventures International for helping with this project. We also want to thank a couple of special donors who also came along side to help us (you know who you are). The next project is the battery room for our alternate power setup. We will need additional support to help complete that project. I will write more about that in the next post. We want to thank all of you for all of your continued prayers and awesome support. May God continue to bless you in all that you do for the Kingdom. Be blessed.

Running with the Vision,
Steve, Shawn, Travis, Stephen, Richard and Catie
