Few Pictures from Wotje

Trip to Wodmej!

During out trip to Wotje we took a boat to a small atoll called Wodmej! There is a woman there who started a church there about two years ago. In the top photo you see a picture of Hilda and her class. She is an elementary school teacher there on Wodmej. She took the job there about two years ago. After a short time she started a small Bible study that has become a church now running about 20 members. Many times she has wanted to quit but the Lord would encourage her to stay. Hilda did not give up. When she had only three people coming she was using the school. Once her group began to grow they told her she could not have service there. This did not stop her, she just took her group to the beach. Every morning they pray together before school and every Sunday they have church. Praise the Lord, God is moving even in the smallest places.
There are only about 200 people that live in this small place. Just recently the land owner told her she could have a piece of land to build a house and a church. Praise the Lord! Nothing can stop the plan of God. You can see the property in the pictures above. They have given her a piece of land from the lagoon to the sea. More than enough! God is so good. We will also be helping her raise funds to build the church and her house in that small place. Please keep Hilda and the people of Wodmej in your prayers. Be blessed, your faithfulness is making a difference around the world.

Radio Shalom

A while back I put out a request for CB radios. Here is a couple of pictures to explain why. In the US Cb radios are a thing of the past now with cell phones and WiFi everywhere. Here in the Marshall Islands CBs are used to communicate between the atolls. Some small places have only one family living there. Their only communication is by CB radio if they have it. Some of them power them by a small solar panel that charges one twelve volt batter. These small places have no church or pastor there. Pastor Will has started using CB radio to share the Gospel with the small islands. Every morning and every night he comes on the air as radio Shalom. He is preaching the Gospel using CB radio. Other churches have joined with him now and all of them take turns preaching the Gospel. It is amazing to see the CB radio used in this way. Pastor Will is using an old CB mobile radio but we are believing God for a base station! If you would like to help out in this area of spreading the Gospel email us a rikakisteve@gmail.com Dust off that radio in the closet and put it to use spreading the Gospel in the islands. Be blessed and thank you for all of your prayers and support.

Trip to Wotje

Well here are few pictures of my latest trip to Wotje. We left on Monday the 9th and got back on the 20th. From the first day we began to minister to the people. On the top you see a picture of the pastor and his wife. Pastor Will and his wife Carmen have been pastoring on Wotje for ten years. On the bottom right you see a picture of the church and his house. It is packed everyday with people seeking the Lord. He currently has about 80 to 100 young people attending his church (not counting adults). The Northern Islands High School is located on Wotje. Youth from 8 different atolls attend high school there. Curently there are 200 enrolled this year at Northern Islands High School.
Every morning Pastor Will has prayer meeting at 6 am in the morning. Every morning, Monday through Saturday about 50 to 60 of these young people come. What is really amazing is that they have devotions at 5 am and then come to the prayer meeting with the Pastor! What a hunger for God. It is amazing to see the passion overflowing into the community. From the first meeting on Wotje the Holy Ghost began to flow. Why? Because these young people are hungry for the things of God!
We taught every night on "Change"! Every night we saw these young people and the church being changed by the Spirit. People were healed and set free everynight. On Sunday 26 people gave their hearts to Jesus. Praise the Lord! That is what it is all about. Right now there is not enough room for everyone at the church. They need a new building. Please agree with us in prayer for the funds to build a church there for these hungry people. Thank you for your prayers, it always makes a difference. You are truly our partners in the Gospel.

Marshall Islands Atolls

Many times people ask us what it is like to live on an island. Really we do not live on an island but a coral atoll. As you can tell from these pictures that there is very little land on an atoll. They are very narrow, lagoon in the middle and ocean all around. The pictures above were given to us by some friends. I think they downloaded them from Google earth. Not sure though. Arno, Langnaar, Kwajalein and Ebeye are pictured. After we return from Wotje the first two weeks of March we will be on Arno and Langnaar.
Then on to Ebeye and the Northern atolls. Atolls are separated by hundreds of miles in some cases. Some atolls have airstrips and others are only accessable by ship. On these small atolls isolated from the rest of the world pastors are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the next few months, along with the CTC disciples we will be travelling to many of the atolls. We have been moved by the Spirit to take the fire to the outer islands.
We many times think of places around the world because of the news. I hear people talk about unreached people. I believe that in some ways the islands of the sea have become the forgotten people. We thank you for all of your prayers and support that help us take the gospel to the outer islands. If you would like to help us go to the outer atolls please drop us an email. We thank God everyday for you who have stayed so faithful. May God continue to bless you even as your soul prospers.

Catie and the CAs

Here is a few pictures from last night's youth service in Rairok. As many of you know Catie Bentley is back in the Marshalls. She was here over the summer and came back for another visit. During this time here she has worked with us and see up close what is happening here in the islands. Last night Catie spoke at the service. She spoke a great message by the Holy Ghost, asking the question "do you know where you are going"? It was a message focusing on the importance of knowing the Word of God. Encouraging the youth to believe and stand on the Word of God. It was a great message. Catie will travel with me next week to the atoll of Wotje to minister the Word! Please keep us in prayer as we travel to the outer islands. Be blessed.
