Christmas Day!

Last weekend was an awesome weekend at Majuro English Assembly.  God is certainly moving by His spirit among the church.  Praise the Lord.  On Monday the 24th we had Christmas Candlelight service with praise, programs and the Word.  Even though the power went for a short time that did not stop us from sharing Jesus!

Christmas day we all gathered together and shared Jesus through the community.  We started at the hospital visiting those in the pediatric ward.  Sharing songs and the love of Jesus with the children and families there.  Giving gifts and praying for the sick.  After that we headed over to the prison and visited those in jail.  We gave gifts to them, sang and just shared the love of Jesus with them.  What a joy to share Jesus with those in the hospital and in the jail.

Afterwards we headed back to the church to reach out to our neighborhood on Christmas.  All of the church had donated food and gifts to be given out.  They really poured out to support this effort.  With what was donated we were able to provide food and gifts to between 15 to 20 families.  Praise the Lord!  What a joy it is give the gift of love and Jesus on Christmas day.  It is so beautiful to see the people of God rise up and reach out with the love of God!  Thank you so much for your faithful support to us here in the Marshall Islands.  God bless you as you walk with Him...

Happy Holidays!

Good day from the islands.  Shawn and I want to take time to wish all of you a happy holidays and a Merry Christmas.  As the year comes to an end we are looking forward to the new year ahead.  This is a time to be thankful and rejoice as we celebrate the coming of Jesus!  At this time of year we reflect on the coming of Jesus and the gift of eternal life that He brought to the world! The son of God came so that all men may be free.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

We have been entrusted as the body of Christ to share this great gift with the world.  In a time of turmoil and so many with out hope now is the time for all of us to step up and give the gift of life!  I am not talking about donating blood but giving the gift of eternal life.  The gift of Jesus!  Shawn and I see the news and hear what is going on around the world.  More and more as ministers of the Gospel we burn with a passion to get the message to everyone.

We want to encourage you today.  Do not back off in what you are doing for the Lord.  Do not retreat but continue to push forward with the message.  Do no stop tithing, giving or supporting your local church and pastor.  When you draw back you stop the flow of God in your life.

Hebrews 10:38: Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

So what should we do?  Now more than ever we need to focus on what He said in His Word.  He has never failed and will never fail.  He has a plan for you and your family.  Do not waiver but stand fast in the face of the storm.  This to shall pass.  He is our God and He is mighty to save.  His hand and His word is not affected by the world.  But He is moved by those who stand in faith and refuse to move.  Be encouraged!  God is for you and you can not be defeated!

Looking forward to the new year we are expecting God to move in mighty ways here in the islands.  We are planning outer island trips and to other nations in the pacific.  As our school moves into the new year we are expecting to see our students excel.  We continue to train pastors and leaders here in the islands and look forward to new doors opening.  Finally we expect to continue to see growth at Majuro English Assembly.  Our vision is to continue to see the church grow and expand touching the nations of the pacific!  It is such an honor to pastor so many faithful people of God!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.  It is because you have partnered with us here that we can move forward with the Gospel.  You are continually in our prayers....  May God bless you richly.

Thanksgiving Sunday

I Thessalonians 5:18: In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

What a Sunday we had!  Here in the Marshall islands it is not a holiday.  It is just another day of work.  So we and the church decided to have Thanksgiving Sunday!  It was an awesome time with potluck dinner after the service at the church.  Shawn cooked turkeys and all of the people brought food to share.  I must say it was an awesome time.

We shared on giving thanks for every in our lives.  The Holy Ghost moved and lives were touched.  Here are just a few pictures from our Thanksgiving Sunday!  Be blessed and have a great day in the name of Jesus!

Majuro English Assembly

Well the church is beginning to grow here in Majuro.  It is certainly wonderful to see God moving by His Spirit among the people of so many nations.  We just wanted to share a few pictures of the church and let you know of a few needs that we are believing God for.

Here is a picture of the sanctuary.  One of the first things we need to do is to move the wall back another 20 feet.  We are already needing more space for Sunday morning.  Praise the Lord!
Here are some shots of the area behind the sanctuary.  We have room to expand but as you can tell we need a new roof.  Numerous holes keep us from using this area.  Our vision is to expand the sanctuary and add classrooms in this area.  We also need and office and a nursery...
This is a shot of our children's area.  We are getting ready to paint it and build and a puppet stage.  Needs a lot of improvement across the board.  Our head teacher and teachers are ministering to a lot of children throughout the week.
We are also believing for ceiling fans for the church, a snake cable for our sound system and a new sound set up for the church.  Please take time to pray and agree with us for all of these needs.  This church is currently ministering to nine island nations here in Majuro.  Have a blessed day and thank you for you faithful prayers and support.

Travis and Malissa

Good day from the islands.  This week certainly has been a week of mixed emotions.  Why?  Travis and Malissa have moved to the US!  Wednesday night we put them on the plane headed to Florida.  What a bittersweet moment.  Travis, our first born, leaving to start something new in his life along with his wife Malissa.  Shawn and I are so proud of all of our boys.  They all are a blessing from the Lord in their own special ways.

However, I will say that this is one of the hardest things we have had to do in life.  I now can fully identify with my Dad and Mom who for many years have been sending me off.  Especially on the first day I left to join the military.  What a moment for me and for them.  Now Shawn and I are experiencing  what they went through so many years ago.  It is certainly a time of major change for all of us.

Malissa is coming to finish her RN degree!  Travis will be in the support mode while she is in school.  They have a place to stay already; Praise the Lord!  They will need to find a job and a  car, but we know that God is in control and has a plan.  Shawn and I are rejoicing and sad at the same time.  We are not fearful in any way, because we know that they are following God's plan.

Twenty three years ago on December 1st, our first son came into this world.  For Twenty three years he has been a blessing to us. For the past year, Malissa, the newest edition of our family was a blessing and has a special place in all our hearts. Momma will miss her friendship and help preparing family meals. Richard will miss her listening ear and friendship as well. Now we release our blessing to the world.  May Travis and Malissa be a blessing to all they come in contact with wherever they go...

Good day from the islands.  Yesterday we celebrated the church's 10th birthday at Majuro English Assembly.  It is such an honor to pastor this church.  We were joined by Majuro Praise Assembly and their Pastor was our speaker yesterday.  It was a powerful time in the Holy Ghost as both churches joined together to celebrate and lift up Jesus.

Our church is made up of many different nations.  There are Marshallese, Flipino, Naaruan, Tongans, Solomon Islands, Chukese, Papua New Guinea, and Americans.  I am probably leaving out a nation or two.  The joy of this church is that there are no boundaries.  We are all citizens of heaven coming together to worship the Lord and build the kingdom of God!

It brings tears to my eyes to see all of the people lifting up their hearts and crying to the Lord.  Pastor Telija delivered a powerful message.  Are you a chicken Christian or a Eagle Christian.  It was a challenging message that blessed all of the people that were there.  The church was packed.  NO more room, people sitting outside, the children's room full.  All together worshipping the Lord!

After the service we had dinner on the grounds, potluck, all of us fellowshipping  with one another.  It was a very long day/weekend but it was awesome.  Please keep up in your prayers and we continue to follow the vision here in the Marshall Islands.  God bless you all and may you walk closer with Him everyday.

Cleaning it Up!

Wow, what a weekend it was this weekend.  First of all Travis and I spent Saturday repairing our septic tank drain field.  I was prepared to bring some guys in to do it but Travis volunteered for the project.  Praise the Lord, he wanted to raise some more money for their trip to the states.  I had to go to town to pick up some supplies and take Stephen to work.
Travis in two hours had dug a pit up to his chest for the drain field.  By two o'clock he had finished the project. Man, did he get the job done.  I helped him clue things together and how to make it.  He designed the drain head, got it all together and rocked it in.  Now the smell is gone praise the Lord!  He did an awesome job.  Thank you Travis.

On Sunday we had two great services at Majuro English Assembly.  That morning we taught on how to be F.A.T. for Jesus!  When we are F.A.T the blessings in our lives flow!  What does the acronym stand for?  To walk in victory you must be Faithful, Available and Teachable.  That night Pastor Robert  taught on maintaining God's standards in life!  It was a great day all the way around.

God is doing wonderful things in the islands.  We are seeing salvations, healings, deliverance and lives changed every week by His Spirit.  Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support.

Good day from the Marshall Islands!  A lot of things have been going on here and God is moving by His Spirit!  We have been pastors now for about five weeks at Majuro English Assembly!  What a change it has been.  We are enjoyed and excited about what God is doing in the church.  We are moving forward building the kingdom of God together.  We certainly have challenges in the natural and supernatural but we know that, "God's got it"!  The whole family is involved and Richard will be sharing in youth tonight!  Praise the Lord!  Shawn is doing other things ministry wise and the school is transitioned over to our staff.  As I have said before they are doing and awesome job!

We are looking forward in the coming weeks to getting out to Ebeye and Wotje!  It has been a while since we have been there but we have heard good things about what is going on there!  We are believing God for a new sound system for Wotje!  Also Pastors Anwi and Wendy Morris are doing a fantastic job in Ebeye flowing in the Holy Ghost!  Praise the Lord God is good!

We are so thankful for boxes that we received over the last couple of weeks.  Full of food supplies and over the counter medicines for the outer islands.  Three different people stepped up and helped us out in those areas!  Thank you Jesus!  The boxes that come in are a huge help to us here in the islands!  If you would like to find out about how to help in that area, drop us an email at rikakisteve@gmail.com!

Our last little bit of news is that Travis and Malissa will soon be moving to the states.  Malissa is coming to finish her nursing education.  Travis will be supporting her as she accomplishes this and hopefully will start some online classes himself.  God has already provided a place for them to stay!  Praise the Lord!  Please agree with us for jobs for both of them.  Our God is able and we know that He is in control!  We will update you more as we get closer to their departure.

Thank you all so much for your faithful prayers and support.  You are truly our partners in the Gospel here in the pacific!

What's Happening?

It has been a busy last couple of weeks.  Stephen got back last Tuesday.  What a joy it was to see him.  We met him at the airport with Kanani and she was so happy to see him.  Terina was in class and not able to be there but they met down at CMI!  We thank God for His protection during Stephen’s travels and of course the healing that has taken place in his body.  He came back healed, whole and with a new attitude.  Thank you Jesus for change.  Shawn and I want to thank all of you for your prayers and help.  You are certainly our partners in the Gospel.  We thank God for the people who loaned us the funds for his return.  We would like for you to agree with us for $1730 dollars to cover it.  We know that God has got it.  Once again a big thank you to everyone.
We are now in our 4th week as pastors of Majuro English Assembly (MEA)!  Praise the Lord.  Things are happening there from week to week.  Please agree with us for lives to be changed but the Spirit!  The church is made up of people from several different nations.  We believe that the church is in position to make a huge impact here in the Marshall Islands and around the world!
ACA is on track and the first weeks have been fantastic.  The students are excelling and the staff is doing an awesome job.  God is so good.  We have consolidated the classrooms and it is working perfect.  Shawn is becoming more and more involved in different areas of ministry and the school is running on it’s own.  Praise the Lord!
We would like you all to continue to pray for Rosehanna Sawej, one of our teachers.  She is currently in the hospital with several problems but she is improving everyday.  Also pray for Corban Samuel a long time friend of the family.  He had a stroke on Monday night.  The doctors had little hope for him but prayer changes things.  He is getting movement back in his right side and began to speak again Tuesday evening.  Please agree with us for their complete healing in the mighty name of Jesus!

We serve a miracle working God and all things are possible to those who believe!

God is Faithful!

I wanted to take a moment and share this testimony from a young lady in our church named Sarah!  Read this and be blessed!

Sarah Writes:

I praise God for His guidance and protection. Went home late last night in the midst of lightnings and thunders (still thankful for the lightnings because they lighted my way back home because everything was so dark), turning on the lights but the bulbs all gave a dim light and no power coming from all my electricity outlets. Afraid that there would be a brown out and no water supply, i filled up
my pail with water. Then, around 1:00am, there was a brown out. With nothing to see and i was really tired, i went to sleep but still managed to pray that God would recharge my body, renew my strength and wake me up early so that i could go to work.

This morning, i praise God that He woke me up early again. Little did i know that there's an incident happened last night. There was a fire on the light post outside our compound, everyone already went to other places except me who was in deep sleep despite of the absence of A/C or a fan, haha. There were policemen and the acting Mayor was there, securing the area. But no one managed to wake me up, but still i'm thankful i had a good rest. ;)

I just want to praise God for His UNFAILING PROTECTION to His children. I slept last night with a HOPE that i would wake up this morning despite the brown out and thunderstorm. Though men failed to inform me, but God took care of me. I thank the Lord for the good night sleep i had, without worrying about the incident because it was Him who took charge of me and of everything. I REALLY PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! =)

(God is faithful and takes care of His children no matter what is going on around us!  The sleep of the righteous is peaceful!)

New Starts!

Good day from the islands!  God is so good and moving in so many ways here in the Marshall Islands. This last week was one of new starts and changes in ministry!  The first new start has to do with Majuro English Assembly!  As of last Sunday, not yesterday, we are now the new pastors of the church.
Praise the Lord!  The church is made up with people from several different island nations as well as the US and the Philippines! What an opportunity to serve God in a new way.  It is truly an international church following after the things of God!  We are excited and are looking forward to what God is going  to do in this place!
This does not take away from our ministry to the Marshallese and the Marshallese churches.  This is an addition to what we are already to doing there.  We are seeing the Spirit make connections to bring the churches together on all levels.  This new position gives us the opportunity to touch many different nations with the Word!  Thank you Jesus!
Last week was also the first week of our new school year!  Praise the Lord all of the students are back  and everything went smooth as silk.  Shawn is transitioning to work more with me in different ministry areas. The staff has picked up the ball and is running  forward with minimal supervision.  Thank you Jesus!  We ask you to keep us in prayer as we move forward with what God is doing here in the islands!

Clark's Update!

Good day everyone and blessings in the name of Jesus!  It has been a busy week here in Majuro.  Shawn and Richard are back in Majuro and Stephen is now in Florida!  Monday and Tuesday were really couple of hectic days.  Stephen's flight to Honolulu was cancelled and so was Shawn's coming into Majuro.  Shawn was able to get in touch with United and get the flights taken care of and all is well!  Needless to say it was a challenge and certainly had us going around in circles.  But thank you Lord for favor and everyone got where they need to go!

Stephen jr. is now in Florida for medical treatment.  He has his first appointment on Monday with a neurologist!  Praise the Lord for open doors.  We are believing God that all is well and the reports will all be good!  We are still believing God for the provision to cover all medical expenses and the flight back here to Majuro.  He is in good spirit but missing his wife and daughter big time!  Please continue to agree with us in prayer for these needs!  Keep Terina and Kanani in your prayers also while Stephen is in the states!  God is good and all the time God is good!  Jesus is the healer and we know that everything is under control!

Shawn and Richard are doing well and readapting to island life!  Shawn and the staff are getting ready for school to start next Monday!  All is on track and on target and we are expecting a great year.  All of our students who graduated last year are on their way to high school.  Those who attended summer school all passed with flying colors!  Praise the Lord!  A big thank you to our new principal and head teacher, Liezl Domingo!  She handled the summer and office over the summer for us!  Praise the Lord!

We thank all of you for your continued faithful prayers and support.  It is you and us together that are reaching people with the Gospel!  You are a blessing and we pray that God blesses you above and beyond what you need!

Summer Time!

Good day from the islands,
It has been a busy month here in the Marshall islands.  We just finished two conferences and a leader's seminar!  What a great time in the Lord!  The first conference was for the youth and their theme this year was "Pray for Rain"!  Taken from Zechariah 10:1.  The youth spent the week seeking the Lord and being taught the Word of God!  What a time they had, these young people were praying for the rain to bring in the harvest!
The next conference was for the women.  Their theme was "giving all the work".  Their base scripture was John 4:34.  It is amazing to see what God was and is doing through the women here in the Marshall Islands.  Both of these conferences were about bringing in the harvest for the Lord!  Building the kingdom of God and finishing the work!  Praise the Lord!  In these last days we must be focused on bringing in the harvest!
Pastor Ronald and Crethia Matthew head of the Full Gospel Churches
The Last week was with the leaders.  It was a week of intense teaching on dedication, the Spirit and the great commission!  It was great to see and hear Pastor Ronald Matthew, Pastor Anwi Morris and other men and women of God teach!  It was also an honor as always to being able to be a part of these sessions during the summer!
Shawn and Richard are finishing up their final week in the states.  We are also getting ready to start school back up here August 13!  All is coming together and we praise God for what He is doing here in the islands.  We hope to make an announcement about a new change within the next week.  So keep and eye out for that post.  As always thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support.  We love and appreciate you all so very much!

The whole week will be centered on the things of the Spirit.  How to live a Godly life and be in position so that the Spirit call fall in your life.  Praise the Lord!  I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do this week by His power.  Please keep us in your prayers this week as we pray for the rain to fall in the Marshall Islands!
