Please Pray!

DSC 0970

Good day!  There are a lot of things happening here in the Marshall Islands.  We are getting ready within the next month to go to the nations of Nauru and Kiribati.  We are praying and believing for open doors into these nations.  Praise the Lord.  After Resurrection Sunday we will be heading out to Wotje to visit with Pastor Wil Lokior and his church there.  Agree with us for solid transportation there and back.  Also agree with us for a mighty move of God there on Wotje.  CTC has been on hold for the last couple of weeks but we plan to start class on this Tuesday!  God is good all the time.

At Majuro English Assemble we are certainly seeing a move of God in every area.  We have a new bus on the way for the church and are growing, thank you Jesus.  As many of you know we have been believing for funds to reroof the church and push a wall back.  Well we are pleased to report that we have raised about 15,000 dollars for the project.  Praise the Lord!  The roof will be first and the cost will be 11, 616.00 to do it.  We are getting estimates on the wall now and believing God for the funds.  God is so good and where there is vision there is provision.  Another need that has come up is for our Nauru Bible school students.  We have partnered with them to pay for their last year of Bible school here are the church.  Praise the Lord the church is behind them.  However, we just found out this week that their supporter for last year did not pay their tuition.  Their balance for all of them is 1350.00.  Unless this bill is paid they will not graduate.  They are attending another school here in Majuro. If you would like to help with the church project, transportation to the outer islands or the Nauru students.  Please go to our web site at www.missionary-ventures.org and click on the"get involved" tab, it will take you to a place that you can find out how to give.

We thank God everyday for your faithful support and prayers for our ministry.  God is faithful and we are seeing lives changed daily here in the Marshall Islands.  You truly are our partners in the Gospel here in the Marshall Islands!

Family Retreat

DSCN2580

Last weekend we took families and members of the church off island for a family retreat.  Over 100 people attended.  It took us four boats one trip and a couple of other trips to get everyone there.  It as an awesome time in the Lord.  We left out on Friday afternoon and it was overcast and rainy.  It rained off and on during the day but that did not stop the people.  Tents went up, supplies were off loaded and of course the kids hit the water.  That night we had praise, worship and testimony time.  It was a time to hear what God is doing in the lives of families within the church.

Saturday morning we woke up to a beautiful day with the sun shining and a cool breeze.  That morning we taught on salvation and the meaning of water baptism.  The session was full with families hungry to hear more about God.  That afternoon we had our 4 small group leaders teach on Family, Unity, Love and Prayer.  Every session was a great success with our leaders teaching the people.  The great thing about being off island was that it was a time for people to disconnect and focus on the family.  The weekend was set for a time of refreshing, learning and drawing closer as the family of God.  Certainly it is unity in the Spirit that give us the ability to overcome.

Sunday morning we woke up and celebrated communion, and then we preached on family.  Our personal families and the family of God was the focus!  The Spirit was moving and we had an awesome time worshipping the Lord!  After the message we had water baptism and baptized 19 people praise the Lord!  Two whole families were baptized.  God is so good.  We then dedicated a boat to the Lord for His service.  It was just a great weekend all the way around.  It was a time of reinforcing the family based on the Word of God.  It was also a time of strengthening families and the family of God!  Thank you for all of your prayers and support.
