Family Retreat

Last weekend we took families and members of the church off island for a family retreat.  Over 100 people attended.  It took us four boats one trip and a couple of other trips to get everyone there.  It as an awesome time in the Lord.  We left out on Friday afternoon and it was overcast and rainy.  It rained off and on during the day but that did not stop the people.  Tents went up, supplies were off loaded and of course the kids hit the water.  That night we had praise, worship and testimony time.  It was a time to hear what God is doing in the lives of families within the church.

Saturday morning we woke up to a beautiful day with the sun shining and a cool breeze.  That morning we taught on salvation and the meaning of water baptism.  The session was full with families hungry to hear more about God.  That afternoon we had our 4 small group leaders teach on Family, Unity, Love and Prayer.  Every session was a great success with our leaders teaching the people.  The great thing about being off island was that it was a time for people to disconnect and focus on the family.  The weekend was set for a time of refreshing, learning and drawing closer as the family of God.  Certainly it is unity in the Spirit that give us the ability to overcome.

Sunday morning we woke up and celebrated communion, and then we preached on family.  Our personal families and the family of God was the focus!  The Spirit was moving and we had an awesome time worshipping the Lord!  After the message we had water baptism and baptized 19 people praise the Lord!  Two whole families were baptized.  God is so good.  We then dedicated a boat to the Lord for His service.  It was just a great weekend all the way around.  It was a time of reinforcing the family based on the Word of God.  It was also a time of strengthening families and the family of God!  Thank you for all of your prayers and support.

Running with the Vision,

Steve, Shawn, Richard, Stephen, Terina and Kanani
