Growing and growing!

Wow! It has been an amazing last few weeks!  We are seeing so many changes in the lives of people in Majuro and in the church.  God is so good!  I guess this morning, I just want to give you a quick recap of what is going on.  Those of you who follow us know that there are changes happening at Majuro English Assembly (MEA).  One of the areas under going change is our children's department headed up by sister Edna.  Edna and Shawn have been working together to put in place a new curriculum and transform the children's department.  Edna is our Christian Education Coordinator.  Since they kicked off the new program, the place has been packed.  Praise the Lord!  Now we are going to have to expand the children's area soon.  What a great problem to have.  The children's ministry is growing and growing.
MEA children's ministry team leaders

A couple of months ago we kicked off the new program in our main service to give the parents a taste of what is happening in our children's ministry.  On that day 44 volunteers signed up to be a part of the program.  God is so good.  Edna  divided them up into 4 teams to work with the children.  They then took the leaders and have been training them to lead the teams.  Praise the Lord.  Tomorrow the first team will have the service.

It is going to be awesome. They have been trained in puppets, drama, object lessons, teaching and leading children's ministry.  Please keep our children's ministry team in your prayers.  Soon we will begin mobile outreaches and a feeding program for children.  We thank God for what He is doing among the children here in Majuro.

Fire Update!

Good day from the islands.  A couple of weeks ago we had a major fire here in the Majuro.  The flames were so high that we could see it from our place in Ajeltake.  As we drove into town that morning I received reports of someone jumping from a second floor window to safety.  As we drove we prayed that there would be no loss of life or major injuries.

Praise God, He always answers prayer.  The injuries were minor and there were no deaths praise the Lord!  Almost everyone lost all of their possessions.  Passports, important papers and there life destroyed in a matter of minutes.  We thank God for life.  Because things can be replaced but a life can not.

Churches and others have rallied around the victims of the fire and all is well in the name of Jesus!  Shawn and I want to thank you all for praying.  God bless and have an awesome day in the name of Jesus!
