Medical Help! Prayer Needed!

Good day from the Marshall Islands.  Today we would like to ask all of you reading this blog to pray for the Marshall Islands health care system.  At this time the hospital is in critical need of doctors, surgeons, equipment and medical supplies.  At this time there are no surgeons on island, orthopedic or general.  There is also no OB/GYN doctor on island as well.  To make matters worse the doctors and staff here are short supplies and equipment to do their jobs.  The doctors and staff are working long hours and have huge case loads.  They are under a lot of stress and need our prayers.  In spite of these conditions and shortages, they are doing an awesome job!

To make matters worse, there is currently an investigation ongoing concerning bribery, fraud and misuse of government funding for the hospital.  This misuse of funds may be the cause of equipment and supply shortages.  At this time, the investigation is ongoing!  Our prayer is that it will be resolved quickly and those who need to be, will be removed and disciplined.  This is a critical need and the Marshallese people are suffering because of the misuse of funds!  We know that God is a good God and that He is in total control.  Please agree with us and the churches here in the Marshall Islands on these needs.  God bless you and have a great day in the name of Jesus!

It's A New Year!

Images

Good day from the islands.  Well it is 2014 and it is another year to serve the Lord Jesus here in the Marshall Islands.  We are so thankful for all that God did during 2013 but we are looking forward with renewed vision for 2014.  Since the start of our mission here in the Marshall Islands we have continually seen the had of the Lord in so many ways.  We thank God always for the pioneering work of Lew and Mariesa Davis who were here before us.  Shawn and I have certainly worked from that starting point until now and we are thankful for their ministry.  Over the years we have seen up and downs, trials and tribulations, but through it all God has been faithful.  Being on the mission field is a constant adventure and there are no two days the same we can tell you that much.

From the beginning in 2005 until now we have continued to see God move in miraculous ways!  We started with a Bible school and from that the ministry has done nothing but grow.  From Bible to school, to the outer islands, to a K - 8 school, to pastoring a church and in 2013 expanding into the south pacific!  Glory to God!  God by His Spirit is certainly accelerating His plan in these last days.  In August 2012 we began pastoring Majuro English Assembly now known as Majuro International English Church!  It is a church made up of many nations.  Thirteen to be exact and what a joy is it for Shawn and I to be the pastors there.

In the fall of that year God spoke to us and told us to go the nations represented in the church.  In 2013, God began to make that happen with doors opening up in the south pacific.  So far we have been into the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea and are planning to go back there again in 2014!  This year we plan to reach into Nauru, Kiribati, Chuk and the Philippines God willing!  We know that in 2014 God is going to accelerate what He is doing around this world.  The Spirit will continue to move and the unreached will be reached.  This truly we a believe to step through the door and obey the Spirit of the Lord!

Even thought the ministry is expanding to take in new things we are still working with the Marshallese.  Our K-8 school is still going strong and we are seeking for new doors and opportunity among the people of the Marshall Islands.  God is good and our base mission is still ongoing, praise the Lord!  We continually thank God for placing here in the Marshall Islands.  We also thank God for all of those who have faithfully partnered with us over the years.  Of course in the last couple of years some have had to stop support for various reasons and we understand that. However, even though things have changed in that area God continually has provided for every need of the mission here in the pacific!  Glory to God!  I can tell you this we are excited about what God is going to do in the coming year.  We looking forward to see the Gospel being spread to all of those in need.  Praise the Lord!
