Looking Ahead!

Sunday morning lunch for the children!
Good day from the islands.  This morning I want to tell you about a special project.  As you may know Shawn and I have have been running Ajeltake Christian Academy (ACA) for the last six years.  We have grades K-8 and over the years we have seen great success in the lives of children.  We are dedicated to providing great education that is Christ centered. The love of God and the Word of God in action. It is such a joy to see young lives changing from day to day.  Shawn's heart has always been children's education.
With that said, there are many children in Majuro and the Marshall Islands who are not in school.  The numbers that need to be in school are way out of our reach!  As we looked around we saw the reason that many of them are not in school.  The simple reason is that the families can not afford the uniforms, backpacks and basic school supplies for their children.  This year we want to make a difference.  Every year Majuro International English Church does a Christ centered summer camp, and it reaches many children in the local area.  We want to make a difference in children's lives on every level! . Shawn and I are believing God for the ability to send 200 children who were not in school this year to school next year.
Would you help him go to school?
How can you get involved?  Well we need $25.00  contribution for the uniforms, and a back pack with 12 pencils, a package of erasers, one pencil sharpener, and tow composition notebooks. All together we would like to raise $5,000.00 toward uniforms and 200 backpacks.  For the backpacks and supplies, we are believing that the people of God will rally around and make it happen!  We know this is possible and we can do it.  First of all, pray for this project and see what God would have you do.  Second, spread the word and see if you know others who would like to help.  Schools, churches, or groups who would like to help.  Whether you sponsor one or a group, all of it goes for the glory of God.  With each uniform, backpack and supplies given they will also receive the message of Jesus!  What a way to make a difference!  Shawn and I are excited about this and know that it will happen in the name of Jesus.  If you would like to be a part of this project please contact us either via our web site www.missionary-ventures.org or by email at rikakisteve@gmail.com!  Our goal is to have everything in place by June!  God is good and remember Jesus is coming soon.
